Китайски учени успяха да отгледат бъбречна тъкан с предимно човешки клетки в свински ембриони, с надеждата в бъдеще така да се създават органи за трансплантиране, съобщи БТА.
Екипът, ръководен от Лянсюе Лай от Института по биомедицина и здравеопазване в гр. Гуанчжоу, публикува резултатите си в списание Cell Stem Cell.
Методът се основава на изключването на гените SIX1 и SALL1 в ембрионите с помощта на инструмента Криспр/Кас, наричан често генетична ножица.
Така ембрионите не развиват свински бъбреци и се създава празнина или ниша.
След това се инжектират плурипотентни човешки стволови клетки, взети от кръв от пъпна връв. Те успяват да се развият в нишата.
Специалистите признаван, че процедурата трябва да бъде усъвършенствана, като посочват високия процент на влошаване на състоянието на ембрионите. Необходимо е да се прецени дали това е свързано с химеризма или с други аспекти на процедурата по инжектиране, пишат авторите.
Освен това бъбреците, които са се развили добре, продължават да съдържат повече от една трета свински клетки, а това може да доведе до отхвърляне при трансплантация, казват те.
